Organisation, the Key to Success in a small commercial or catering kitchen

If you want to be successful when it comes to the catering aspect of your business then you need to make sure that you and your employees have everything organised from the day you open your new venture. After all, organisation is the key to success in any business and the kitchen is certainly no different! Take a look below to find out more.

One thing that you need to do is make sure that all of your fridges, cupboards and drawers are organised. Consider purchasing drawer organisers if this helps, and keep all of your utensils separate instead of having them all in a single drawer. When organising your fridges, make sure that your employees always know where to find certain items and consider placing a fridge at either side of the kitchen. This means that employees won't need to travel across the room just to find what they need and it also means that you can keep them both monitored with ease.

Another thing you need to think about is utensils. After all, if your employees can't find the equipment when they need it, they won't be very efficient in the kitchen and this is something that you want to avoid at all times.

Consider things like magnetic knife boards and place several sets of knives across the multiple kitchen surfaces. Accessibility is crucial and if two chefs need to use the equipment at the same time, it will save a lot of hassle and fuss. It may also be an idea to talk your employees through an organisation strategy as well, because if everyone is on the same page, it will make everything much easier for the future.

No matter what size your kitchen space, Bettaquip are commercial kitchen fitters. We'll design and install a kitchen into your venue, using every inch of space we can!

Do You Need Quality Kitchen Equipment in Order to Produce Great Food?

At Bettaquip, we understand that a lot of commercial businesses need to save money wherever possible, and this is especially the case when it comes to new installations. After all, you don't have money to burn and the last thing you want to do is waste money on something that isn't needed for your company. You also need to think about quality or quantity. Do you want to have plenty of equipment on-hand or would you rather have less equipment, but the security of knowing that it is going to last and last? The truth is that the answer depends on what type of business you own and manage. If you run a restaurant, you may need to have plenty of equipment on-hand so you can create a lot of orders at any one time.

Of course, you don't want to compromise quality in your equipment either, so finding the medium between the two is vital if you want to succeed in the industry. If you just want a catering section for your staff workers however then you may not need to purchase as much equipment, and you may be able to get away with purchasing things like combination ovens and multiple use appliances.

This will save you space and money, not to mention that this is invaluable if your business is small or on a budget. Another question that a lot of people ask is do you need quality equipment in order to make quality food?. In some instances, you do, because quality equipment may give you a better cooking environment for you to work in. If food is of a significance to your business then it is certainly worth investing in the best equipment that you can, and when you work with a commercial kitchen supplier like Bettaquip, you may be able to get this equipment at a discounted rate as well.

A Guide to Choosing the Right Commercial Kitchen Provider

Commercial KitchenCommercial Kitchen

If you need to use a commercial kitchen provider then you want to make sure that they are right for the job. You also want to make sure that they are highly trained and qualified, because if they aren't then they won't do a good job when compared to someone who is certified so this is certainly something that you need to think about before you choose.

Insured

One thing that you need to think about when you hire your provider is their insurance. You need to make sure that they are qualified for the task in hand and you also need to make sure that they are completely covered if anything should go wrong. If you hire someone who isn't insured then this could cause you major problems in the future because you may need to cover the expenses yourself.

Testamonials

Before you hire your kitchen provider it may be a good idea to look at their customer testamonials. This will give you a good idea of what they are capable of and it will also help you to know whether they can be trusted or not. You will also get a good idea of what they can do as well, so this is a great way to save time and money as well as feeling confident in your choice of provider.

Case Studies

Another thing that you can do to make sure that you are choosing the right company for the job would be to take a look at their previous installation work. Here at Bettaquip, we upload images of our previous work to give you a good idea of the high standard of work we carry out - so you'll be sure we can meet your requirements.
