The project:
To design and install a completely
new commercial kitchen within the confines of the original basement
kitchen of a Grade II listed house, taking into account the
problems of irregular spaces posed by historic
architecture.
The result:
BETTAquip completed the install of a
complete new kitchen in March 2012, working to a tight deadline as
the property opened for business on 12th April 2012. The
kitchen has to meet the needs of a range of dining options,
including the 42' Banqueting Hall, Grand Hall and private dining in
reception rooms. On a summers day guests can enjoy outdoor dining
overlooking a private beach and jetty.
The BETTAquip solution was an all
Electrolux kitchen, including combination ovens, cooking suite,
refrigeration and dishwasher with separate cold preparation and
wash up areas to facilitate effective work flows.
The project presented a big
logistical challenge with the only means of access via a long 40
step stone external stairway to the basement level. Specialist
handling was required to manoeuvre the 20 grid combination oven and
refrigeration cabinets into position.
