The project:

The Design and Installation of an exciting new concept Café within a brand-new Wellness Centre focussed on Health and Wellbeing.

We were delighted to be invited back to work with the team at Moddershall Oaks Country Spa Retreat to design and install a new café concept for their brand new 360 degrees wellness centre.

What started as a passion to share the benefits of health and wellness by Director, Penny Weston, has since turned in to the most exciting venture yet. MADE is truly the first of its kind in the Staffordshire area and beyond. Inspired by Penny's own journey to fitness and health, this new wellness concept is set to redefine the way in which people view wellness.

More than purely a brand, MADE is a lifestyle which offers a safe haven for a vibrant community of like-minded and positive people.

Following the principal belief that healthy food doesn't have to be tasteless, the Wellness Café at MADE offers a range of tasty colourful dishes that are as appealing to the eyes as to the palate; as well as being packed full of nutritional benefits.

The menu steers clear from refined sugar and artificial ingredients and instead nourish the body with whole, mineral-rich foods whilst still feeling indulgent with smoothie bowls, cakes and toast! Made caters for modern day life, time is of the essence, so there is an option to 'grab and go'.


The Result:

"It was really important for us to make the best use of space in the project as the wellness centre has so many parts from the café and treatment rooms to gym and studios. Bettaquip designed the space quickly and exactly to our requirements - bringing the food & drink side of the project to life. The proposal met the café's functional needs and Bettaquip were flexible, giving us alternatives in order to meet our budget and ensure the project was delivered on time. We received a great service."

Bettaquip worked with the Moddershall Oaks team to design a café space that embraces the MADE values by providing a contemporary design to facilitate attractive display and efficient service of nourishing fresh food and drinks.

Foster flexi drawers were designed into a bespoke fabricated back counter to provide attractive and flexible storage for their chilled and frozen food requirements. Each drawer is individually controlled and can be changed from fridge to freezer at the touch of a button. 

Williams Gem refrigerated multideck were incorporated into the grab and go area and a Kubus refrigerated display by CED to the front counter providing stylish and efficient merchandising for fresh food on the go.

Within the support kitchen there is a Meiko U500s undercounter dishwasher which has double wall construction to reduce sound and heat within the compact open space.

An Electrolux 33kg air cooled ice cuber provides ice for the healthy menu options such as the smoothies, juices and superfood cocktails.
